The LED-Laufsteg is project of the month
The project Berlin spart Energie (Berlin saves energy) announced the LED-Laufsteg as the project of month in march 2015. Berlin spart Energie honors every month a project which is about climate protection.
Award for the best graduates in 2013/2014

On 5th of december 2014, at the graduation ceremony, the best graduates of the winter term 2012/2013 of the Faculty IV Electrical Engineering and Computer Science were announced. For her master degree in electrical engineering, Inga Rothert was honoured as the best graduate of her year.
Honours through the VDI Bezirksverein Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.
The VDI-Bezirksverein Berlin-Brandenburg (VDI BB) e.V. honours annually the most excellent engineering graduates from all universities and universities of applied sciences in Berlin and Brandenburg. At the 10th of October 2014, Aicha Diakite and Patrick Prella were honoured in the categorie for excellent degrees.

Clara von Simson Award

For her diploma thesis „Urbane Lichtplanung: Ermittlung der Gütekriterien für Lichtmasterpläne“, Aicha Diakite received the 2. Clara von Simson-Preis. Every year the best degree theses from excellent female graduates, especially from natural sciences and engineering, are prized. The thesis of Aicha Diakite was about the tasks of urban lighting design and formulates relevant questions about lighting in the urban context.
H.-J.-Helwig Award
Aicha Diakite was honoured for her work at the 21/09/2014 with the H.-J.-Helwig Award of the Deutsche Lichttechnische Gesellschaft e.V. (LiTG) to support the the youth in lighting technology. With this price, the work of young scientists and technicians from the fiel of lighting will be rewarded.
Willumeit Award
Dipl.-Ing. Aicha Diakite was rewarded with the Willumeit Preis 2013 for her diploma thesis "Urbane Lichtplanung. Ermittlung der Gütekriterien für Lichtmasterpläne".

Alfred Völker Award
| In the Sixties Alfred Völker kept intensive scientific and technological co-operations with the former head of Chair of Lighting Technology Prof. Krochmann. For a long time he was the chairman of the supporting society. In his testament he decreed, that a huge part of his heritage should be used für scientific work on the Chair of Lighting Technology at the Berlin Institute of Technology. In honour of Alfred Völker outstanding student theses are beeing awarded. | ||
